Role Description for sbi general insurance recruitment 2015
Purpose
Drive the growth agenda for SBIGIC through leveraging the Banca Channel (SBI – National Banking Group and Associate Banks),

Focus on developing the Rural market; Engage with the key stakeholders across the branch network

Key Responsibilities for sbi general insurance recruitment
Strategic
  • Understand the key priorities and plans for the organization, Sales & Distribution Network/ Region and the Banca Channel
  • Understand the key plans for the Banca Channel at the Branch
  •  Ensure ongoing research on the current dynamics within the allocated geography (including competition) and regularly seek inputs from the Bank business
Functional/ Operational
  • Drive achievement of the Branch Sales objectives for the Banca Channel through SBI Bank and Associate Banks
  • Ensure the delivery of the planned product-mix portfolio to the Bank customers (Retail and SME) leveraged through the Banca Channel
  • Ensure focus on Rural market penetration/ product portfolio, leveraging the Banca Channel
  • Drive focus on aspects of customer acquisition and retention at the location
  • Drive implementation of the key sales initiatives planned for the Banca Channel at the location
  • Work in close coordination with the Underwriting, Operations and Claims/ SCM teams at the Branch, to ensure effective coordination and efficient execution of key processes pertinent for Sales/ Customer Service

 

Channel Partner Management

  • Take primary accountability to build relationship with SBI Bank & AB Branch Heads mapped to the SBIGIC branch, to develop mutually beneficial relationships
  • Support superiors/ team members to drive alignment with the SBI Bank Region Heads and Branch staff; and key stakeholders from ABs
  • Ensure ongoing/ day-to-day support to the SBI  & AB Branch Managers
  • Share data/ information with the Channel Partner on a regular basis
  • Share the feedback received from Channel Partners and the Branches with superiors for suitable action

  • Post Graduate/ MBA (preferably in Sales)
Desired Experience
  • 0 – 2 years of experience; preferred experience in Insurance industry
